Julian Crawford is a pioneer in sustainability strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, with over two decades of experience advising businesses and institutions on sustainability leadership. Based in Sydney, Australia, he is the founder of EcoSTEPS, a certified B Corp consultancy established in 1999.

Julian studied Zoology at the University of Oxford and began his career as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, later becoming National Training & Technical Manager. He has held senior sustainability roles, including Director at EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services and inaugural CEO of the Australian Supply Chain Sustainability School.

He has served as President and Director of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), sat on the B Lab Standards Advisory Council, and contributed to initiatives with the Global Reporting Initiative and the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute.

At SAGE Sustainability, Julian serves as a mentor to the CEO, offering strategic guidance rooted in systems thinking, professional ethics, and decades of cross-sector experience.
