Dr Shashi is Founder and CEO of SAGE Sustainability and of EaseRegTech.While SAGE Sustainability has its focus on Sustainability and ESG, EaseRegTech is an organization focussed on Gender, focussing on POSH implementation. While at SAGE Sustainability, she has led various assignments such as GRI Consulting and Advisory, Carbon Accounting, Policy Formulation, Ecovadis Assessment Support, B Corp Certification Support, ESG Support, and bespoke goal and target setting for ESG.

Dr Kad has worked in the UK and Asia Pacific at International research Organizations,Institute for Global Environmental Strategies in Japan; Arghyam and BCIL in Bangalore. She worked at consulting firms before starting SAGE Sustainability to focus on gender and sustainability.

She was awarded as a Power Woman in 2023 in Karnataka Book of Records in Bangalore; most influential sustainability leader by CSR Foundation and Puraskar by Garden City University. She also got a Young Scientist Award in 2004 at Indian Science Congress for excellence in research. She is an alumna of Panjab University where she did her doctoral degree and Oxford University, UK, where she completed her Masters in Environmental Change and Management.

She has taught Sustainability at IMT Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Forest Management at Bhopal for Master’s Students. She is currently a member of  CII National Committee on Legal Services 2023.

She has been invited as a guest speaker at various organizations for talks on climate change, net zero, sustainability. gender, PoSH and others. Some of the talks that she has given in the recent past are at Intel on recent trends in Sustainability; HMCL on Net Zero Race;  Mission Net Zero Race Against Time by Zinnov Consulting; Women’s Day Talk at prestigious Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences; AIMS Conference on Sustainability, Garden City University Conference on Sustainability; ILMUNC and several other industry forums.

She is an external member for several Internal Complaints Committee and has personally trained tens of committees.

Dr Kad has published several papers in Journals of repute and has written Sustainability Reports and other reports throughout her professional career.
